TotalBodyIQ (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information when you use the TotalBodyIQ website, the iOS app, contact support, or purchase a subscription.

1. What this policy covers
This policy covers:
- the public website at totalbodyiq.co.uk;
- the TotalBodyIQ iOS app;
- support, billing, subscription, and privacy enquiries sent to us.
2. Information we may process
Information you provide or create in the app
- Workout logs, exercise selections, sets, reps, weights, cardio sessions, goals, training preferences, and related in-app entries.
- Body metrics and check-in information that you choose to enter.
- Support emails or messages you send to us.
Information from device features you enable
- HealthKit data, if you grant permission, such as workout, activity, and body measurement data used for app functionality.
- Location data, if you start an outdoor tracked activity that needs GPS.
Most training data in TotalBodyIQ is designed to be stored locally on your device. We do not use your health or fitness data for advertising, and we do not sell personal data.
3. How we use information
- To provide workout logging, training guidance, body load views, planning tools, progress history, and related app features.
- To restore or verify subscription access through Apple’s App Store systems.
- To provide support and respond to contact requests.
- To improve reliability and product quality through limited product analytics and diagnostics.
- To protect the service, investigate technical issues, and maintain security.
4. Analytics, diagnostics, and third parties
TotalBodyIQ may use a small number of service providers to operate the product responsibly:
- Apple processes App Store purchases, subscription billing, and optional HealthKit integrations.
- PostHog may receive limited product-analytics events, such as app opens, completed workouts, or paywall events. These events are used for product analytics, not advertising, and are not used to sell health or workout data.
- Website hosting and email providers may process routine technical logs and email communications needed to run the website and support inbox.
We do not knowingly share workout-content detail with advertising networks, and we do not use third-party tracking for cross-app advertising.
5. HealthKit and fitness data
If you connect HealthKit, any HealthKit data is used only to provide app functionality and training analysis within TotalBodyIQ. HealthKit data is not used for advertising, marketing profiling, or sale to third parties.
If you enable workout recording, the app may also write completed workout data back to HealthKit where that feature is available and authorised.
6. Location data
If you start a GPS-based outdoor activity, the app may process location data needed to record the session. Location data is used for that activity experience and is not used for advertising.
7. Lawful bases
Where UK GDPR or similar laws apply, we generally rely on the following lawful bases:
- Contract — to provide the app and subscription features you request.
- Legitimate interests — to maintain, secure, support, and improve the product responsibly.
- Consent — where device permissions or optional integrations such as HealthKit or location access require your permission.
- Legal obligation — where we must keep records or respond to lawful requests.
8. Retention
Workout and profile data is generally retained on your device until you delete it, reset the app, or uninstall the app, unless a specific feature explains otherwise. Support emails and operational records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to handle support, subscriptions, disputes, security, or legal obligations.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, ask for correction, request deletion, object to certain processing, restrict processing, or request portability.
To make a privacy request, email support@totalbodyiq.co.uk with the subject line “Privacy request”. If you are in the UK and are unhappy with how we handle your personal information, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
10. Children
TotalBodyIQ is a training product for users with gym familiarity and is not directed at children.
11. Website cookies and logs
In this launch configuration, the website is a static marketing site and does not intentionally set non-essential cookies. Basic server logs may still be created by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes. If we later add analytics, forms, or non-essential cookies, we will update this policy accordingly.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with an updated effective date.
